Ball Control Standing and Dribbling

  • Organisation

  • Process

    Station 1 (Standing):

    • Pendulum the ball between the feet
    • Alternate touching the ball with the left and right sole
    • Perform body feints and feints in front of the ball (without touching the ball)

    Station 2 (Dribbling):

    • Dribble the ball only with left/right foot (using all parts of the foot: sole, inside, outside, instep)
    • Pendulum the ball between the feet (forward and backward)
    • Alternate pulling the ball back with the left and right sole
    • Alternate touching the ball with the left outside/left inside/right outside/right inside
    • Alternate rolling the ball through the legs with the left and right sole
  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • Keep eyes off the ball
    • Tight ball control
    • Lower center of gravity
    • Increase tempo if ball is well controlled
